Texas RHIO working with Allscripts
E-Health Trend Watch, March 31, 2006
Access Medica of Tyler, TX, has entered a $1.4 million agreement with Allscripts to automate and connect physician practices in East Texas with pharmacies, laboratories, and each other. Six clinics and 29 physicians will participate in the first part of deployment with an additional 50- 60 physicians joining by mid-year. Access Medica's goal is to become the first operational regional health information organization model in the state.
