Report shows rapid adoption of wireless technology in 2005
E-Health Trend Watch, March 17, 2006
Wireless Data in the Healthcare Arena, a report by The FocalPoint Group, revealed that wireless technologies are the key to increasing efficiency, cutting costs, and enhancing care. The study projects that more than $7 billion will be spent on wireless data applications in the United States by the year 2010. These technologies are being implemented in health environments today and are expected to restructure the ways in which hospitals are organized and to handle patient needs.
