AmerisourceBergen and Allscripts to provide e-prescribing solutions to health systems
E-Health Trend Watch, March 17, 2006
AmerisourceBergen Corporation (www.amerisourcebergen.com) and Allscripts (www.allscripts.com) will support the adoption and connectivity of electronic prescribing. Using their solutions, the alliance will focus on delivering healthcare providers with authorized electronic access to patient medication records and drug monitoring. As part of their alliance, AmerisourceBergen is acquiring the rights to distribute licenses for the entire portfolio of Allscripts clinical software products, including TouchWorks Rx+.
