Kidney group invests in electronic patient record system
E-Health Trend Watch, March 3, 2006
The San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group agreed to buy Misys Healthcare Systems' patient information and billing system for the group's 10 locations. Physicians currently using an index card system with control numbers to manually track hospital and dialysis patient procedures will now be able to pull up patient information on a handheld device, record procedures, and submit items for billing.
