E-Health Trend Watch, February 10, 2006
Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System has contracted with A.D.A.M. to provide health information for its newly designed consumer Web site. Baylor will license a suite of A.D.A.M.'s health information products, including its health encyclopedia, drug information center, and health risk assessment library. A.D.A.M.'s Health Illustrated Encyclopedia uses more than 3,600 articles to describe more than 1,600 diseases and conditions. Offered in both English and Spanish, the encyclopedia includes medical illustrations, photographs, and diagrams to supplement the articles. The Drug Information Center offers patient education leaflets with information about generic and brand name medications.
