SNFs stymied by increasingly high turnover
LTC Liability Monitor, March 23, 2006
High job turnover in the long-term care workforce is a growing problem, with wages and benefits playing a decisive role in retaining experienced and qualified workers, according to research findings from Better Jobs Better Care. In addition, proactively encouraging workers to stay in the field is key to strengthening and growing the pool of long-term care workers.
Later this week, the research program will outline effective ways to retain staff and improve work environments at a briefing during the 2006 Joint Conference of the National Council on the Aging and The American Society on Aging.
