Clinic to implement electronic health record from Allscripts
E-Health Trend Watch, January 20, 2006
Allscripts announced that West End Orthopaedic Clinic of Virginia will implement TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) to provide orthopedic specialists with access to complete information for consultation, research, and test results. The EHR will allow the group practice to connect patients to physicians via an interactive personal health record, providing the patient with the opportunity to complete medical forms prior to visiting the clinic. Allscripts provides clinical software, connectivity, and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, including EHR, e-prescribing, and document imaging solutions.
