Woman shot in hospital elevator
Healthcare Security Weekly, January 23, 2006
Two federal correctional institution employees say they witnessed a Vanceburg, KY, man shoot his wife in the head in a hospital parking garage elevator, reports the Maysville (KY) Ledger Independent.
The husband, Terry Horsley, allegedly first asked the employees if they were hospital security and after they said "no," he pulled out a gun and shot his wife.
The witnesses were able to restrain Horsley and hold him until police arrived. The wife, Cathy Horsley, managed to survive the attack, in part because she was already at King's Daughters Medical Center.
