AAAHC announces 2006 revisions to accreditation standards
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, December 6, 2005
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) has announced the 2006 revisions to its standards, according to a press release from the association.
The most significant changes to the standards are in the anesthesia services and dental services chapters.
"Standards for healthcare accreditation must evolve to keep pace with the latest advances in healthcare," said Stephen Kaufman, RN, senior director of accreditation, in the statement. "The annual revisions to the Accreditation Association's standards illustrate our commitment to the never-ending process of enhancing the criteria for quality patient care."
