Study: PT software boosts revenue
Rehab Private Practice Alert, November 30, 2005
A recent study showed that physical therapy and rehab practices can increase revenue by nearly 20% by switching from manual documentation to an electronic system.
The study tracked 40 clinics who switched to SpectraSoft's DocuPRO physical therapy software from using manual documentation.
The study found that the average charge per encounter grew by over 40%, while net collections rose 19%.
Results also showed that insurance denials dropped. The software offered therapists 40 report templates to see daily schedules, patient information, and cases waiting for documentation. It also integrated with other PT billing solutions.
