CMS issues changes to Medicare ASC list
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, November 22, 2005
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued changes to the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) list of Medicare-approved procedures, according to the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (FASA).
CMS is adding 32 current procedural terminology (CPT) codes to the list and deleting 10.
The changes are a result of revisions made by the American Medical Association to the 2006 CPT codes.
