Support grows for ASC Medicare Payment Modernization Act
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, November 1, 2005
Several members of the House of Representatives have cosponsored the "Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Medicare Payment Modernization Act of 2005" (H.R. 4042) introduced early last month by Wally Herger (R-CA), according to a statement on the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (FASA) Web site.
The cosponsors of the bill are:
- Bob Filner (D-CA)
- Barney Frank (D-MA)
- Ron Lewis (R-KY)
- Sam Johnson (R-TX)
- Mark E. Souder (R-IN)
In the statement, FASA urged its members to contact their representatives and encourage cosponsoring the bill.
