NQF endorses additional ambulatory care standards
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, October 18, 2005
The National Quality Forum (NQF) has endorsed six new voluntary consensus standards for ambulatory care, according to PRNewswire.
The new standards bring the total of ambulatory standards to 51. With these standards, the NQF is aiming to achieve voluntary consensus on a set of performance measures that can be used to assess the quality of ambulatory care in the United States.
The newly approved standards are:
Asthma/respiratory illness
Coronary artery disease
Prevention, immunization, and screening
