AMA offering grants to physicians affected by hurricanes
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, October 11, 2005
The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation is offering grants to assist physicians whose practices were damaged or destroyed by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Only those physicians affected in areas declared disaster zones by the Federal Emergency Management Agency can apply.
The AMA Foundation's new Health Care Recovery Fund will offer the grants. The fund will also be available for victims of future disasters.
