Quality Improvement Monitor, September 29, 2005
The National Quality Forum (NQF) received a $3 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to continue developing standards for quality and performance measurement, patient safety, and public reporting, Modern Healthcare reported September 27.
The Washington, DC-based NQF board endorsed 36 performance standards for ambulatory care in August. The group is currently working on draft standards for breast-cancer care, Modern Healthcare reported.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation provided a $2.5 million grant to help start the nonprofit NQF in 1999.
