Infrared therapy relieves pain, numbness, and tingling

Rehab Private Practice Alert, September 28, 2005

The use of infrared and cold laser, or Anodyne, therapy is becoming more common during the course of physical therapy to reduce pain, numbness, and tingling, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

Researchers have found that the laser can restore sensation and improve balance as well, while some journals have shown systematic reversal of peripheral neuropathy in patients with diabetes.
