Hospital guard assaulted, assailants get away
Healthcare Security Weekly, September 19, 2005
Two men attacked a security officer at Athens-Limestone (AL) Hospital last week after he approached them on a street near the hospital around 3 a.m., according to the Athens News-Courier.
After hitting the officer, the two men ran off, leaving the officer with cuts on both arms and some bruises. The officer told police that he walked up to the men to investigate their suspicious behavior, but one of the men jumped on him and started punching before he could say anything.
The two suspects are still unidentified other than a vague description from the officer.
