FL hospital's head of security found to have criminal record
Healthcare Security Weekly, September 12, 2005
The new head of security for Ocoee's (FL) Health Central Hospital is a twice-convicted felon, reports WFTV.com.
Steven Peters was first arrested in 1983 for stealing two diamond wedding rings. Since then, he's pled guilty to breaking into vending machines and stealing aluminum from an employer.
The hospital has yet to comment on whether it was aware of his past convictions when it promoted him to head of security in March. Peters started off as a maintenance man in the hospital before rising up the ranks with no further convictions since 1987.
