APIC, CIDRAP unveil center to educate and raise awareness of infectious diseases
Infection Control Monitor, August 5, 2005
Aiming to provide up-to-date expert information on infectious diseases from around the world, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) is joining forces with the Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDRAP) to form the Infectious Disease Center (ID Center).
The ID Center, which is already active, combines the monitoring of developments in infectious diseases worldwide with supporting clinical information. It provides news on emerging and reemerging infectious diseases, pandemic influenza, and bioterror agents, says Sue Sebazco, RN, BS, CIC, APIC president.
The ultimate goal of the ID Center is to educate and raise awareness of the serious issues infectious diseases pose to the world.
To access the ID Center, click here and then click on the scrolling items in the upper right-hand corner. APIC is offering this service to nonmembers for a limited time.
