CMS offers guide to preventive care, screening

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced on August 19 that the Guide to Medicare Preventive Services for Physicians, Providers, Suppliers, and Other Health Care Professionals is available for order. The guide covers Medicare preventive care and screenings, giving information on coverage, coding, billing, and reimbursement. In a press release, CMS said that the guide is intended for use by physicians, providers, suppliers, and other Medicare professionals to help them file effective claims and increase the appropriate use of preventive benefits.
