Ad campaigns: Media messages highlight nurses' key role

To mark Nurses' Week 2005, the New York State Nurses Association produced and distributed multiple public service announcements to more than 800 newspapers, radio stations, and television outlets across the state. Shot from the point of view of the patient, the television spot shows registered nurses caring for patients during overnight hospital stays, in the emergency room, and in a clinic setting. The message: RNs are skilled, dedicated, professional, and are always there for their patients.
