Rehab practices rising in KY
Rehab Private Practice Alert, August 10, 2005
In the past month, 16 facilities filed applications for new rehab clinics or services in Kentucky, according to MSNBC.com.
The rapid pace can be attributed partly to a change in the state's certificate of need program that separated rehab centers from other healthcare expansions.
The new license regulations allows for more competition in the state, especially among assisted-living and independent-living facilities. Many of the licenses also call for a growth in outpatient rehab services as facilities around the state recognize how quickly the field is growing.
