OK alleges serious health violations, closes facility
LTC Liability Monitor, May 13, 2005
The Oklahoma Health Department closed a Cleveland County facility last week after an inspection turned up multiple health hazards, the Associated Press (AP) reported. Rodent urine and feces on dinner plates, cockroaches in residents' beds, and no hot water in showers and bathtubs were a few of the violations discovered by inspectors at the Noble Residential Care Home in Noble, OK. State regulators have closed the facility and relocated its 40 residents, according to AP.
In addition to the health violations, inspectors found that the facility had taken no action on a resident complaint of stolen personal property, had failed to conduct a background check on one worker, and employed another who had been convicted of assault-and-battery.
