Nursing home bill awaits governor's approval

LTC Liability Monitor, May 13, 2005

A bill calling for sweeping reform of Oklahoma's nursing home regulatory body awaits the governor's approval, the Tulsa World reported. Gov. Brad Henry plans to sign the bill, which the House passed unanimously, according to his communication director.

Under House Bill 1453, every current appointed member of the State Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators will be replaced. The bill will also change the way complaints are reviewed and filed, the World reported.
