CMS announces raise in Medicare interest rates
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, May 3, 2005
CMS announced that it has raised the interest rate for Medicare overpayments and underpayments to 12%.
The rate became effective on April 25, 2005.
The increase to 12% denotes an 1/8% raise to the interest rate, which was 11.875% from Feb. 8, 2005 - April 24, 2005.
The rate was 12% prior to its lowering on Feb. 8, 2005.
