Daughter sues KY facility in death of mother
LTC Liability Monitor, April 28, 2005
A Kentucky woman has filed a neglect and wrongful death lawsuit against the nursing home at which her mother resided before her death, Louisville, KY television news channel WLKY reported. Nancy Trentham alleges staff members at the Episcopal Church Home caused her mother's death when they failed to use a gait belt when helping her walk. Court records show that Lolly Walston fell and broke both legs and later died from a stroke. Trentham claims the stroke was brought on by blood clots in her mother's broken legs, WLKY reported. Nursing home officials told WLKY they couldn't comment on the case.
