Iowa CNA charged with abuse

An Iowa certified nursing assistant has been charged with four counts of abuse for events that allegedly took place at the Red Oak, IA, nursing home at which he was employed, the Council Bluffs-based Daily Nonpareil reported. Richard Paul Lang is accused of tripping, pushing, and otherwise abusing four female Alzheimer's disease sufferers at the Good Samaritan Center between September 2002 and March 2004. Each of the four counts of abuse is a class C felony, carrying a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, according to the Daily Nonpareil.
