Healthcare Security Weekly, March 21, 2005

A former hospital security officer for St. John Riverview Hospital in Detroit received 25 to 50 years in prison last week for shooting a fellow security officer in May 2004, television station WDIV reported.

Roosevelt McCormick, 50, shot Avis Kincade, 44, a security supervisor, in the hospital parking lot following an argument. He shot Kincade several times with his security-issued gun, police reported. She later died from her wounds.
