Partnership brings e-Rxing to 300-member group practice in Ohio
EHR Connection, March 7, 2005
University Primary & Specialty Care Practice, a 300-member group practice located in Cleveland, adopted e-prescribing this month, possibly the largest physician group in the country to implement this application, University Hospitals Health Systems (UHHS) reports.
Established by UHHS more than 10 years ago, the practice is the largest primary care physician group in northeastern Ohio.
The network of practices includes internists, family practitioners, pediatricians, obstetricians/gynecologists, and urgent care physicians. Podiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and physician assistants also practice in some of the offices. Specialty areas include cardiology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, pulmonary and occupational medicine, endocrinology, pediatric opthalmology, and orthopedics.
The e-Rxing system is provided by information solutions company NDCHealth in conjunction with e-Rxing technology provider InstantDx.
