Hospital security captures two men on the run from police
Healthcare Security Weekly, February 14, 2005
Modesto, CA, police and Memorial Medical Center hospital security officers captured and arrested two men trying to escape the police, the Modesto Bee reported.
Two men ran into the hospital after allegedly waving handguns and making threats in a nearby home, the police said. The men reportedly didn't carry the weapons into the hospital and didn't get very far.
In less than two minutes, the suspects were caught, Anita Talkington, Memorial's vice president for public relations, told the Bee.
The hospital reacted by calling an emergency code notifying employees to stay put and remove everyone from the hallways, Robert Mark Keizer, hospital operations supervisor told the Bee.
