Girl goes missing from hospital waiting room

Iowa City police searched last week for a 10-year-old girl who disappeared from a hospital waiting room, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
While the girl returned home the following morning, police are still investigating the incident. "It doesn't appear that she's hurt," police Sgt. Brian Krei told the AP.
The child was left in a Mercy Hospital waiting room awaiting her sibling's checkup. Shortly after, the mother discovered her daughter was missing and contacted hospital security, who searched the building. When she wasn't found, the hospital contacted the police who searched surrounding areas.
The following morning the daughter returned home.
Police don't believe the girl was taken from the hospital, however, the details of her disappearance are unclear, Krei said.
