Infection Control Monitor, December 10, 2004
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking public comment on its revised guidelines for preventing occupational exposure to tuberculosis (TB) in the healthcare setting.
You have until February 4, 2005, to comment in writing on the proposed guidelines, which update the CDC guidelines last published in 1994. The draft guidelines reflect shifts in the epidemiology of TB, advances in scientific understanding, and changes in healthcare practice that have occurred in the United States over the last 10 years.
