Vendors launch EHR association
EHR Connection, November 15, 2004
More than 20 EHR vendors formed the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) EHR Vendor Association in attempt to give vendors "a collective voice" in the national initiative to create and certify a national EHR infrastructure, according to Health Data Management.
The founding members are: A4 Health Systems, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Cerner Corp., Companion Technologies, DOCS Inc., Eclipsys Corp., e-MDs Inc., Epic Systems Corp., GE Healthcare, Gateway Electronic Medical Management Systems, Greenway Medical Technologies, and IDX Systems Corp.
