Defense Department to install EHR

Unisys Corp. of Blue Bell, Pa. secured a four-year contract potentially worth $132 million to provide worldwide implementation and training for the Defense Department's electronic health records system, reports the Washington Post.
The contract is renewable over 5 years, with a $2 million annual bonus if certain performance measurements are achieved, reports Healthcare IT News.
Unisys will train approximately 60,000 providers during the next 4 years under this contract-the largest healthcare IT project the company has yet to execute, according to Healthcare IT News.
