Hospital security heightened for Clinton's surgery

Healthcare Security Weekly, September 12, 2004

Former President Bill Clinton underwent quadruple bypass surgery last week at New York's Columbia-Presbyterian Center, the Associated Press reported. He checked into the hospital after he suffered chest pains.

Clinton's arrival prompted an increase in security around the hospital. There were reports that Secret Service arrived and the hospital also increased security. Clinton has been deluged with get-well messages from around the world.

The former president is recuperating from the surgery.
