Minnesota commission to address sex offender policies
LTC Liability Monitor, August 19, 2004
Following allegations that sex offenders housed at a Minnesota nursing home assaulted other residents earlier this year, Governor Tim Pawlenty announced the formation of a commission to review the state's sex offender policies, the Saint Paul [MN] Pioneer Press reported.
The commission will address the placement of elderly and disabled sex offenders, conditional medical release requirements, and sex offender supervision practices, the governor's office told the Pioneer Press.
Former legislators, law enforcement officials, crime victims, and the state public defense board will participate in the commission.
