Two patients escape mental hospital
Healthcare Security Weekly, August 17, 2004
Tennessee police are upset at Lakeshore Mental Hospital in Knoxville after two patients escaped using keys last week, WATE-TV reported.
Just after 5 a.m. on August 9, two men escaped the hospital and were caught when someone spotted them in a nearby park at 6:20 p.m.
The men escaped easily using keys, police said. Police considered the men dangerous.
The hospital reportedly waited over an hour to report the men missing, police said.
Lakeshore officials said they wanted time to search for the men in the facility.
