Doctor loses cool over new hire
Healthcare Security Weekly, July 6, 2004
Wilkes Barre (PA) General Hospital security escorted a neurosurgeon from the facility last week, after the doctor allegedly became unruly over the appointment of an additional neurosurgeon, The Citizen's Voice reports.
Prior to a surgical procedure, David Sedor, MD, allegedly expressed displeasure with the hospital's chief executive officer and vice president of medical affairs over a new hire. Hospital security escorted Sedor off the premises. Now Sedor's future with the Pennsylvania hospital may be in jeopardy. Hospital spokesman refused to comment on the incident. However, sources told The Citizen's Voice Sedor's surgical procedures were cancelled and postponed.
Sedor declined to comment.
