AMA maps out medical liability crisis
LTC Liability Monitor, June 2, 2004
Are you curious about the effect of the liability crisis on facilities in neighboring states? The American Medical Association (AMA) last week released an online medical liability crisis map identifying troubled areas.
The AMA listed Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, and New York among the 19 considered "in crisis." Only six states-California, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Wisconsin-were not categorized as "in-crisis" or "showing problem signs."
Click here to go to the AMA's Web site and view the liability crisis map, complete with background information on the states considered in-crisis.
