Attorney General sues SNF housing sex offenders
LTC Liability Monitor, May 26, 2004
Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch yesterday filed a lawsuit claiming a Minneapolis skilled nursing facility (SNF) accepted referrals from the state Department of Corrections for three sex offenders, according to the Associated Press (AP).
The three prisoners-currently housed at Concordia Care Center with other residents in a locked, third-floor facility-allegedly abused residents during their stay.
Hatch is calling for the immediate removal of the prisoners and the transfer of the SNF's operations to a court-appointed administrator, according to AP.
