May 17, 2004-MARBLEHEAD, MA-HCPro, Inc., a leading provider of integrated information, education and consulting products and services in the vital areas of long-term care regulation and compliance, has acquired the assets of Springfield, MO-based E-quipping. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"Acquiring E-quipping further cements HCPro's position as the leading provider of Certified Nursing Assistant training and continuing education materials. We are extremely pleased to add E-quipping's excellent content to our line of long-term care products. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our aggressive growth objectives for the healthcare training market," stated Bruce Guzowski, President and CEO of HCPro, Inc.

Founded in 1999, E-quipping published specialty educational products used by nurses, aides, and nurse managers in skilled nursing, home health, and assisted living facilities. The company's primary product was CNA inservice-training lessons; the E-quipping library includes a wide selection of in-depth lessons in use at long-term care facilities throughout the United States.

I'm particularly happy that HCPro produces such an excellent training product for this purpose; I feel really good about my subscribers continuing to receive the highest quality materials as they transition from E-quipping to HCPro," said Carole Eldridge, owner of E-quipping.
