Healthcare Security Weekly, March 21, 2004
A former head cashier at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, plead guilty to stealing $48,465 from the cafeteria last week, the Associated Press reports.
Robin Campbell, 33, faces charges of larceny over $250 by a single scheme.
As part of a plea agreement, Campbell will repay $22,000 and a lien was placed on her home to cover the additional missing money.
Hospital officials agreed with the disposition of the case, says Worcester County District Attorney John J. Conte.
A hospital auditor discovered the thefts which took place between April 2000 and October 2002.
