Nominate your physician leader for the Physician Executive Awards of Excellence
Physician Practice Advisor, January 14, 2004
Is your physician leader a role model, not just for your office but for health care workers everywhere? If so, he might be the perfect candidate for the sixth annual Physician Executive Awards of Excellence, co-sponsored by the American College of Physician Executives and Modern Physician.
The Awards of Excellence honor medical managers and physician executives in two categories--the Lifetime Achievement Award for nominees who have at least 20 years experience, and the Award of Excellence for those who have three or more years of experience. Both categories honor medical managers and physician executives "who have demonstrated visionary leadership, measurable improvements in business performance and significant contribution to patient satisfaction and community service, and who have set an example in medical management followed by other physician executives."
Has your physician leader inspired your organization to strive for a goal? Has he or she displayed problem-solving techniques to help your group sidestep obstacles? Has your leader increased productivity and quality of care, reached out to a new market, or tackled community service projects. If this describes your leader, you better get cracking--all nominations must be postmarked by January 30, 2004.
