Caregivers injured by patients with dementia cannot sue, rules California Supreme Court

A recent ruling from the California Supreme Court holds that home health workers hired to care for patients with dementia may not sue them or their families for injuries caused by those patients. The case is the first known of its kind in the country, and it extends a well-established law principle known as primary assumption of risk.
