Maxim Health Information Services and HCPro, Inc. Announce Partnership to Deliver Best-In-Class ICD-10 Coding Training

Press Releases, September 29, 2011

To assist healthcare facilities with the mandated adoption of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes in October 2013, Maxim Health Information Services (MHIS) has partnered with HCPro, Inc. to offer comprehensive ICD-10 training and education services.

"MHIS is excited to partner with an educational company that offers ICD-10 e-learning to employees and clients," stated Brenda Spring, RHIA, CPHQ, CHC, Director of HIM services for MHIS. "The advantages of the Web-based training are significant; no on-site program fees, and complete, self-paced, consistent training and education from any location."

HCPro has established a reputation of excellence in healthcare training and education that spans more than two decades. "Our partnership with MHIS will expand healthcare organizations' opportunities to take advantage of HCPro's regulatory experts and their experience training thousands of coding and billing professionals to meet their compliance and revenue integrity goals," commented Lauren McLeod, Editorial Director at HCPro, Inc. "Our nationally recognized programs, HCPro Boot Camps®, JustCoding continuing education resources, and online learning, will prepare coders with the knowledge and confidence they need for the transition to ICD-10."

The training suite will include three major building blocks for anatomy and physiology training, ICD-10 code set training, and follow up skills maintenance.  Anatomy and Physiology for ICD-10 Coding will enable coders to master the fundamentals of A&P before beginning more intensive ICD-10 coding training. HCPro Boot Camps® are the heart of hands-on coder training in understanding, selecting, and correctly applying the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS codes. JustCoding continuing education provides critically important follow-up to maintain coding skills and stay on top of code changes.

The training curriculum covers both ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, and will offer continuing education credits, as well as other CE credit opportunities.
