Verifying health practitioners’ credentials is easier without a search engine

Press Releases, July 14, 2011

HCPro, Inc, and its Credentialing Resource Center (CRC) have launched the Credentialing Primary Source Verification Directory to rave reviews from pilot testers.

The Credentialing Primary Source Verification Directory is a dedicated online database that provides the direct contact information and primary source verification request procedures for more than 5,300 organizations, allowing users to verify practitioners' credentials quickly and easily. Listings include applicable charges, preferred contact methods, release forms, and signature requirements.

"When we unveiled the new Credentialing Primary Source Verification Directory last month at the annual CRC seminar, customers were excited about the improved search functionality and expanded listings, "says Erin Callahan, Associate Editorial Director in HCPro's Credentialing Division.  "With so much on their plates, credentialing professionals don’t have time to hunt down verification information. This resource returns verification information with just a few clicks of the mouse and allows busy credentialing professionals to move on to other tasks."

The Directory makes short work of verification procedures for medical staff professionals, credentialing coordinators, medical staff directors, credentialing directors, and medical staff services professionals. It includes continuously updated listings of medical, nursing, and dental schools, licensing agencies, hospital medical staff offices, physician assistant programs, as well as certifying boards and specialty associations. Users also have the option to submit information to be included in the continuously updated database.
