Obama unveils choices for healthcare reform

Healthcare Auditing Weekly, March 10, 2009

President Barack Obama introduced his healthcare reform team Monday, March 2, which includes the head of the Department of Health and Human Services, and the head of the White House Office for Health Reform.
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will take on the former position, while Nancy DeParle, former healthcare official at the Office of Management and Budget during the Clinton administration, will take on the latter, according to the Kansas City Star.
On the same day, Obama also announced he would release $155 million from the stimulus package which the White House said would support 126 new health centers. The new centers will employ 5,500 health workers, and help 750,000 low-income Americans gain access to primary and preventive care.
