Joint Commission names Codman award winners
Quality Improvement Monitor, November 14, 2008
The Joint Commission this week named the 2008 recipients of the 12th annual Ernest Amory Codman Award to recognize excellence in the use of outcomes measurement to improve healthcare quality and safety.
Recipients in the hospital category are Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC; Cincinnati (OH) Children’s Hospital Medical Center; and Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo, CA. The multiple organization category winner was Novant Health, Winston-Salem, NC, and the individual winner was the late Shukri F. Khuri, MD.
