Ghost busters arrested at hospital
Healthcare Security Weekly, September 8, 2008
Two men, who said they were looking for ghosts at Westboro (MA) State Hospital, were arrested by police and charged with breaking and entering.
The two men, ages 27 and 21, were arrested September 1 for allegedly breaking into a storage building at the hospital. “They were ghost chasers,” a police sergeant told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. A security officer reported seeing three men breaking into the storage building in the early morning hours. The guard said one man jumped out a window and fled, but two men were trapped in the building.
Police and dogs helped search for the intruders, who gave themselves up after they heard the barking dogs. The men were unarmed and charged with trespassing on state property and breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a misdemeanor.
