Tip of the week: Track data and compliance
Infection Control Monitor, August 29, 2008
One challenge of The Joint Commission’s 2009 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), will be for ICPs to put tracking systems in place.
By January 2010, ICPs must ensure they have systems in place to institute surveillance programs for the MDROs they are targeting based on their risk assessment. They will also need to track employee compliance with infection prevention efforts.
To learn more about the challenges of the NPSGs, go to go to www.hcpro.com/content/216339.cfm. The cost is $10. Briefings on Infection Control subscribers received this story free with their subscriptions.
